The Aeronautical Information Publication  - AIP Iceland is published in one volume in both Icelandic and English and is available at the offices of the Icelandic Civil Aviation Administration. Price and subscription information is published in the AIC Subscriptions to Aeronautical Information Publications.  AIP Iceland provides basic information on Icelandic Civil Aviation,  Radio Navigation Aids and Aerodromes.

GALILEO EGNOS

ISAVIA is in cooperations with the European Space Agency (ESA) on the two installed monitoring stations for the European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service (EGNOS) in Iceland.  By move of key personnel for satellite navigation projects to ISAVIA, this ensures that ISAVIA has extensive experience in the field of satellite navigation and in running the EGNOS reference system in Iceland.  ISAVIA puts emphasis on the availability of highly accurate and reliable navigation signals for efficient and safe air navigation for its clients.

Cooperation with the EGNOS Consortium provides the perfect opportunity to increase the navigation service level to aviation on North Atlantic routes and within Iceland.  The future use EGNOS service in conjunction with the Galileo, GPS and GLONASS systems will provide the means to increase the accuracy, availability and integrity of ISAVIA's clients who are using Global Navigational Satellite Systems (GNSS).
